This morning after breakfast, you depart on the Tranz Alpine train to Greymouth and travel beside the Waimakariri River, over the Southern Alps and onto the alpine village of Arthurs Pass, before finally arriving into Greymoth. Your journey continues to take you south along the rugged West Coast and you arrive into the glacier region of Franz Joseph and Fox Glaciers. Overnight in Franz Joseph and fox Glaciers.

Following breakfast this morning, you travel down the West Coast past the spectacular mountain ranges, forests and lakes to the Haast Pass, the gateway to the World Heritage Westland National park. This morning we follow the Southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onwards to Lake Te Anau. We then enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breathtaking man-made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Here you can enjoy a cruise on this world - famous fiord, dominated by the Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Later in the evening, your tour terminates back in Queenstown. This morning, we take you to visit the Whakarewa Thermal Reserve where you can see the boiling mudpools and roaring geysers. Following this, you can see the birdlife, trout and other wildlife before viewing a New Zealand Farm Show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industry. This morning, following breakfast, we travel over the forested Mamaku Ranges to reach Waitomo. Here you enjoy a guided lour of the Waitomo Glowworm Caves including an underground boat ride viewing the millions of glowworms on the cavern roof. On completion, we continue through the fertile Waikato area to reach Auckland - the City of Sails. Overnight in Auckland.
